With a powerful and controlled performance in the demanding mountain terrain, Tove Alexandersson (SWE) claimed the victory in today´s long distance.
- It was really tough out there today, both physically and orienteering-wise, and you had to stay focused the whole time. For me, there were a few small mistakes, but I'm very happy that I managed to stay focused. It's always fun to do a good race when the course and terrain are so fun, says winner Tove Alexandersson.
Simona Aebersold (SUI) secured second place, while Andrine Benjaminsen took third.
Dominant Victory for Kasper Fosser in World Cup Long Distance
In today’s mens race of the World Cup long distance, Norway’s Kasper Fosser delivered a commanding performance. With a powerful start and flawless execution through the demanding terrain, Fosser quickly pulled away from the competition. His lead only grew as the race progressed, and he crossed the finish line a full four minutes ahead of the runner-up Matthias Kyburz (SUI).
Third place was claimed by Sweden’s own Viktor Svensk. The home nation put in a remarkable team effort, securing positions three through seven.
