Midsummer andmagical orienteering in a stunning mountain setting – that’s what awaitsparticipants during Midsummer week at Idre Fjäll.
All threeraces share the same arena: Arena Ostliften – also used by the World Cupathletes. The schedule allows the spectator races to take place around midday,followed by the World Cup events in the afternoon. Perfect for those who wantto follow the elite competitions live from the arena.
Terrain Description
Day 1 – MiddleDistance:
We kick offwith a middle distance in an exciting area offering slope orienteering and technical navigation. Shorter and easier courses benefit from a well-developed trail network. Runability is good to very good, and the terrain is moderately hilly.
Day 2 –Shortened Long Distance:
This race takes place in one of Idre Fjäll’s most beautiful areas. Visibility andrunability are excellent, yet the terrain still offers technical challenges.The terrain is moderately hilly.
Day 3 – MiddleDistance:
The final dayfeatures a challenging middle distance, especially for the longer courses whichencounter a highly detailed slope requiring difficult navigation. Shortercourses benefit from trails and streams. Overall runability is good, and theterrain ranges from moderately to steeply hilly.
