On the last day for registrations for this summer's World Cup Idre Fjäll 2025, we can note a record-breaking participation from as many as 30 different nations.

A total of 196 men and 141 women have registered for the World Cup round.

- ‘It's fantastic,’ says Per Forsberg,Event Director. I think there are several factors for the great interest incoming to Idre Fjäll. Firstly, the terrain, the untouched wilderness that we offer, but also the fact that the World Cup has made a lot of changes for this year.

Now there are no quotas for the nations,all federations may enter up to 9 men and 9 women. This has clearly been seenin the entries that even smaller nations send more, and perhaps younger runners, to the World Cup Idre Fjäll 2025.

Additional factors may be that we are daysbehind Jukola in Finland, that there will now also be B-finals for those runners who do not manage to qualify for an A-final.

- In addition, says Per Forsberg, the longbright days (and nights) are something that must be experienced.
